How to use this chart

Agree on it together.

Go through the list with your teen before you start. Teens follow rules they helped write. Cross out what doesn't fit and use the blank lines for what matters in your house.

Let them choose the goal.

A concrete prize works best: a game, concert tickets, a later curfew on one weekend. Write it at the top and pick a points target they can reach in about a month.

Check boxes daily, add up weekly.

Each checked box earns the points on its line. Deductions are in red. On Sunday, total the week and add it to the running total.

Keep deductions rare and fair.

A few clear consequences (like lying) carry more weight than many small ones. The chart should mostly show what went right.

Rather not tape paper to the fridge?

Compass is the app version of this chart. Kids check their own days on their phone, a parent approves with a tap, and the jar fills toward the goal. Every behavior and point value is editable. 14 days free, then $4.99/month for the whole family.
